A more traditional and widely used way of printing, Offset printing is a preferred method of processing large orders. In this technology, a printing plate forms an impression on a rubber “blanket” which rolls the image onto a metal cylinder and from there the image is transferred on the paper.
Offset printing ensures accurate color reproduction and gives a crisp, clean and professional look. It is called ‘Offset’ because in this method of printing, the ink doesn’t come in direct contact with the paper. Since the content to be printed is neither raised above the surface of the printing plate nor sunk below it, it gives a consistent feel and is, therefore, also called planographic method of printing.
